Ejmiatsin and Almelo became sister cities

On the 29th of June, Mayor of Ejmiatsin Ms. Diana Gasparyan and her counterpart from Almelo Mr. Arjen Gerritsen signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Ejmiatsin and Almelo.

The memorandum aims at developing mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation between the two cities in a number of areas, such as tourism, economy, culture, art, etc.

The parties will take practical steps to establish direct contacts for reciprocal cognitive visits, non-governmental organizations, enterprises and specialists and in other various fields of activities.

Ambassador Tigran Balayan, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia Nicholas Schermers and the members of the two City Councils participated in the remote signing ceremony of a memorandum.
